Humanity
As someone who eagerly dive into anthropology, the study of human beings, I am extremely interested in the learning of history and events that occured in the past. I enjoy investigating the origins of civilizations, for example: Early China, the construction of the great Eastern empire; Ancient Greek and Rome, the foundation of the western civilization; and Africa, the birthplace of mankind. Therefore, chasing such interest, I performed numerous studies in relevant fields. To be more specific, I once investigated the ritual system in Early China that is devlivered from the ceremonial etiquettes and gradually expanded into something with tramendous influence to the power plays of emperors throughout the entire Imperial China.
Also, I participated into the Stanford Summer Humanity Institute to discover more about Ancient Rome and its legacies, sudying their political status and preferene from famous epics and writings and develop their similarities and inheritence from Greece. I blend history into my life by connecting it to my hobby, creative writing. I composed a book narrating the origins, historical developments, and cultural infleucnes of distinct common (such as staple food including rice, wheat, and tubers) and exotic (such as insects or slightly poisonous animals and plants) food ingredients.
The Concord Review
I have written a paper base on my research about the political system of early China——“The Origin of Political Culture in Early China”.
This paper was accepted by “The Concord Review”.
